Adonis Village: Request for External Change –  Unit O1

Description of proposed external change:

We would like to convert the living room Wooden doors (x3) to uPVC with shutters retaining the existing width of the living room doors (x3) looking out over the patio.

The new doors will be made of uPVC exactly as all other replacement doors and aluminium shutters will also be added. This will be supplied by Malcom Morley and installed by Nicos Demetriou.

As mentioned above, the installation will be carried out by one of the two approved suppliers as advised by Mrs. Evi Leantzi (Cybarco) and will be completed as soon as possible once approval has been received.

Dimensions and sizes of external changes:

French patio-doors (x3) retaining the existing width of the current living room doors(x3)

Colours and style of materials to be used:

The supplier will guarantee that the replacement patio-doors and shutters will be exactly the same design (look and style) in terms of dimensions and features as those that already exist. It will match the official colours of Adonis Village and will not look discerningly different from the existing ones from a reasonable distance of 10 metres, as is the case with the other properties that have changed their windows and doors.

    Hi Andrew, a little confusion with what you have written : "We would like to convert the living room windows (x3) to a French patio-door and retaining the existing width of the living room windows (x3) looking out over the patio." From memory I don't believe there are 3 windows in the living area. Do you mean changing the wooden double doors to uPVC? Thanks Rob

      Sorry - My mistake (tried to copy and re-use the details from my last request for the bedroom).
      Yes - you are correct, it is the three existing wooden doors to replace with uPVC and shutters (same as the bedroom)

        Hi Andrew, thanks for the clarification. Please can you also confirm that you will be putting shutters on the new uPVC doors. I may be wrong but I am not aware of this on patio doors leading into living areas. Obviously the bedrooms have shutters due to light so just making sure it's not another copy and paste :-).     APPROVED with conditions - The ‘AV committee has evaluated the above planning request, and following further explanation by the owner, they have concluded that it is very similar to the materials currently approved and used throughout Adonis Village.

    The AV Committee have therefore concluded the above planning request is in keeping with the aesthetic of the village and should be APPROVED subject to any objections from owners in the next 28 days. The planning request has been posted on the Adonis Village Notice Board and emailed to all neighbouring owners. The owner should not commence any works until the 28 days’ notice period has expired and no other owner has made a reasonable objection. The owner will be notified by email once the notice period has been expired permitting the works to proceed.
